Zambian music...Wow! I really don’t know where to categorize it. I mean the way one can be able to point out to say,”hey, that’s Zambian music”, because of it nature.
Back in the day when we used to fold our skirts to bum level when playing game in the street, we used to listen to kalindula, though I never liked it, I was able to know that it was Zambian music.
Today, oh my, all types of music is found on the music scene…I don’t even know what t call it,…maybe by the time I finish this post, I will be able to have a name for it.
I mean, I love the zed music…especially zed hip hop with my favorites being slap dizzy D, camster, K.R.Y.T.I.C and everyone who does great zed hip hop with am exception of ruff kid coz to me , he is a wannabe..wayne wanna be that is. His music has nothing to keep me listening to his song for 3 or less minutes…am not hating…just giving my opinion.
Any who, back to zed music…I love it….so many creative cats and also so many guys who are just making noise…please guys, we are music fans. Don’t destroy it pliz.
I hail all those that have contributed to the development of music in Zambia…the black muntus, daddy zimas, Joe Chibangu and everyone else I haven’t mentioned. You guys have opened the door for today’s artists.
I love and will always love zed music…
Oh! Before I forget, I said I would have name for my zed music, I will call it changanya for now…
